The BOC Sciences Chemistry Scholarship is a $1,000 award from BOC Sciences, a chemical and biochemical supplier. It is for full-time undergraduate, graduate and PhD students in chemistry-related fields at accredited universities. To apply, you write an essay or build a short presentation on one of three set topics. The official page says students anywhere in the world can apply for free.
Status: Open. The deadline is October 31, 2026. BOC Sciences says the 2026 programme is open and submissions end on October 31, 2026. The winner will be announced on November 15, 2026 (checked October 19, 2026).
What it covers
The award is $1,000, given once a year to the highest-rated students. BOC Sciences does not say how many winners it picks. The money is not paid to you directly. BOC Sciences sends the check to your university, which then releases it to you.
Who can apply
You can apply if you:
- Are enrolled or accepted as an undergraduate, graduate or PhD student.
- Study full time at an accredited university.
- Major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology or another chemistry-related science. The FAQ also mentions materials science and pharmaceutical chemistry as examples.
- Have a cumulative average of B (3.0 GPA).
You cannot apply if you study healthcare or nursing, or if you or a relative work for BOC Sciences. If you cannot show a declared field of study or proof of admission by the deadline, the FAQ asks you to wait for the next round.

Choose one topic and write an original essay of 800 to 1,000 words, or a PowerPoint of 10 to 12 pages with detailed lecture notes:
