AMASE (Advanced Materials Science and Engineering) is a two-year Erasmus Mundus joint master’s run by EUSMAT at Saarland University with five partner universities in Europe. You study at two universities in two countries and earn a double M.Sc. degree. Full Erasmus Mundus scholarships cover your tuition, basic health insurance and pay €1,400 a month for 24 months. Students from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and India apply as third-country candidates and can compete for full scholarships.

Status: Open. Scholarship deadline 15 January 2027 if your entrance university is Luleå (LTU), or 15 February 2027 for all other entrance universities. Applications for the 2027/28 intake are being accepted now (checked October 27, 2026).

What it covers

  • Partial scholarship: tuition waiver and basic health insurance, with no monthly allowance.
  • No allowance is paid for time spent in your home country.
